EMF Meter (Electro Magnetic Field Detector)
This meter is used by Ghost Haunters and Paranormal Investigators to detect the electro
magnetic fields that are given off by entities. An EMF Meter cannot be properly used if the house
has not been mapped out for unshielded wiring of hot spots where the EMF Meter may go off.
The EMF is also known as the Gauss Meter. Here is a small list of possible places that your
meter might go off..
Hidden wires unshielded wiring
Tv's/Electronics in general
Phones wired and non wired
Any water flow through water lines or sewers can cause it to go off
Melmeter
The Melmeter is pretty much the same as the EMF Meter. But it has a built in Infrared
Thermometer and back light.
Cameras
A digital Camera is a photographers secret weapon while on an investigation. The results are
immediate, allowing you to destiguish the possible presence of an entity. The best option is to
have a high MP (Mega Pixels) Camera. It's not needed, but the pictures are clearer and show you
more detail with the surrounding objects around you. A flash is a big must. Very few pictures
have come to show anything without a flash.
Motion Sensor
As it's name states, It detects movement. It's a useful tool, yet not so much in an excessively wide
spread room. The small the room, the better your results.
Camcorders
They are a key factor in a paranormal investigation. Any camcorder will do. But we have found
that digital is best. Preferably with night shot/infrared.
EVP/Digital Recorders (Electronic Voice Phenomena)
It allows you to hear things that in general your ears will not. We use it to try and talk to spirits
or whatever entity might be there.
2 Way Radios
Having these is a must. Especially in a large building. They allow you to always be in contact with
the rest of the group. We have had them on at investigations and have had entities come through
on them.
Security Cameras with Infrared
They allow you to watch a room without having to be in there. If you don't have a security
camera with infrared, you can always get an infrared light to set next to it. It helps to illuminate
the area that you are trying to view.
Infrared Thermometer
These are digital meters that allow you to measure the temp of the area you are working in. It is
said that entities must gather energy to manifest, removing the heat from the area causing it to
become cold.
K-2 Meter
The K-2 Meter is another form of EMF Meter. But is also used as a direct response to questions
asked to yes or no answers.
Wireless Security Detector
Is used to be able to detect anything that might be around with wireless wave length. Such as
Wifi connections, wireless security cameras, wireless 2-way radios. (We are testing this to see if
by chance if these things might be giving off a false EMF readings)
